Fresh news. Lance cpl Daniel Smith was transferred from Makati city jail to the embassy just few minutes ago before midnight. Smith, the U.S. Marine convicted of rape. He's been detained at the Makati jail since last month. His stay there created problems between U.S. and Philippine officials. The rape complainant "Nicole" and her lawyer are opposed to it. And now lawyer is seething mad at this sudden transfer.
*edit.. According to this report Smith's lawyers, the U.S. Embassy and the Philippine departments of justice and foreign affairs have agreed that his detention violates the 1998 Visiting Forces Agreement, which governs the conduct of U.S. troops in the Philippines.

HE IS BETTER TO STAY IN US EMBASSY. I AM A FILIPINO BUT I DON'T BELIEVE IN NICOLE'S CASE. SHE IS BEING USED BY SOME POLICITICIANS. THE CASE IS BACKED UP BY THE OFFICIALS AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT AND OTHER GROUP WHO ARE AGAINST THE PRESIDENT. I REALLY PITY THE DANIEL SMITH. THERE ARE LOTS OF PINAYS HERE WHO ARE AFTER THE US MARINES. THEY DON'T HAVE DELICADEZA SOMETIMES JUST TO ENJOY FREE DRINKS AND NIGHTLIFE. SHE KNOWS MAYBE THAT THIS DANIEL SMITH IS YOUNGER THAN HER. SHE COULD SPANK HIM AT KICK HIS ASS IF SHE REALLY AGAINST THE ACT OF SMITH. THESE US MARINES WHO ARE OLDER THAN SMITH MAYBE WILL NOT TOLERATE THE GUY IF NICOLE WILL SCREAM OR ASKED HELP FROM THE FILIPINO DRIVER. ONLY THE DRIVER WILL KNOW THE TRUE STORY. OR IF I AM NICOLE I WILL NOT GOT WITH THESE GUYS AT THE WEE HOUR. YOU KNOW NAMAN GUYS...BEWARE DURING THE NIGHT! YOU CAN NOT TRUST THEM...SORRY! BETTER NOT FLIRT WITH THEM....
