Greencard as a prize!

To win a greencard, one must join the reality show "Gana la Verde" ("Win the Green"). It seems Hundreds of contestants willing to eat burritos crammed with live worms, jump off high-speed trucks or wash sky-scraper windows in exchange for a year's legal help in speeding up their visa or green card cases.

Talk about different kind of prize! I be if there was reality show like that here in the Philippines, many would join just to be able to go the states and live and stay there and have a greencard.

According to the shows maker, Mr. Liberman " immigration and legal status is the number one issue ... But I thought, what would be the ultimate prize for someone living in the United States as an immigrant? "

Yeah, a green card naturally, aimed at the Hispanics.

But Alex Nogales, who campaigns for positive Hispanic representation in the U.S. media comments "how humiliating it is, and how desperate do people have to be, to get something that is so necessary to your life and to the future of your children. It is heart-wrenching," Read the whole story here
