A couple of days go there's this news of Disneyland's Big Thunder Mountain Railroad ride accident where lots of pople got hurt and so. This is what Themeparkinsider says thats...Clearly, a dangerous pattern has been established at Disneyland. Since former Disneyland President Paul Pressler assumed control of the resort and began cutting costs, fans have complained about poor maintenance at the park.

It is believed that Al Qaeda's involved in the recent bombings In Iraq. Gee, no more Saddam but foreign elements appears to have an eye on the country. Heck, the Bombing was carefully well planned. The US might've free the people of Iraq from the brutal hold of Saddam but the problems doesn't seem to stop(and so are the killings). And the people of Iraq still suffers.

President. Arroyo said their (meaning the oppostion and others..*shrugs) attempt to bring her down is "fultile". My Mom thinks that one of the Senator is silly(for really wanting to have snap election) cos there's only months to go before we're gonna have the Presidential Elections(May 2004). I dont think you could call snap elections with that remaining months. Hahaha. But I dunno..Im no expert. I'm just a girl blogging thoughts within my head! :) I don't even vote! Hehe :).

Media and Politic(ian)s always seems to be in a bind about certain things.You never really know if somebody's the telling the truth and if there's cover up. One thing for sure, people would want to know whats the real story.
Just an update... Okay, so Blair didn't resign but his Director of Communications, Alastair Campbell did...quit his post.

How about this news. Nothing surprising there. Government likes to use services of celebrities to promote something for their agencies or for other causes. Here in the Philippines it's practically thesame and often being done. The success rate though is somewhat so-so..but it hardly fails.

Rights vs Ethics

Read this. I think if that Ten Commandments Monument were placed in any building here, people would probably welcome and flock around it given the fact majority of us(Filipinos) are catholics and anything to do with religion is okay. The US wants more countries to send troops to Iraq. Dont even expect Asian countries to do so. There's enough terrorist problems within the region they've got to annihilate. Pete Sampras is retiring. He will make it official come Monday at the start of the US OPEN. One less laidback guy in the world of tennis. He really is one of the best there is and I guess at 31 the mind is willing but the body isn't anymore (Different in the case of Agassi though). Why am I blogging about this..heck, I like Tennis! Yeah, Go Andy! Teehee :) Meanwhile another superstar, Kobe Bryant, is retiring ehh...in the courthouse...jail I think.

Remembering

Twenty years ago Ninoy Aquino was assasinated on this very day and from then on it inspired everyone to revolt against the system that killed Ninoy. People Power(which really started here in 83 and triggered off similar waves in Eastern Europe during late 80's) was the one thing that us Filipinos gave him in turn for giving us his life and legacy and the will and conviction to fight system of evilness.

Reading A Hero Lives On written by his sister Lupita Aquino Kashiwahara, probably sums it all up how this day should be remembered and the contribution of great man changed the Philippines.

Okay after tha terrorist car bomb attack yesterday in Iraq which I saw on CNN(while waiting for Six Feet Under on HBO) It's either/or the work by Al quaeda, Saddam's followers, Those muslims who harbors hatred for Americans and possibly by frustrated Iraquis. It seems terrorist attacks are always the news headlines.I guess until Americans continue to influence or meddle and support Israel there will always be bombings and attacks.

Ack, the rains keeps coming down..and the floods keeps being a hassle to commuters. Geez, it happens everytime. Anyway, just finished watching Lizzie Mc Guire earlier and even though Hillary"Lizzie" Duff is leaving the show, I think there would be reruns of it on the Disney Channel :). I mentioned in my journal that Gilmore Girls(Which I happen to like) is back on the tube pretty soon. Heh..talk about television without pity! :)

I'm sure there's an investigation.Reporters without Borders and Committee to protect Journalists will want to make sure what really happened. But yeah, the hazards of being in the media sometimes takes a toll on their job and their life. Eh..just ask(Tina Panganiban-Perez) a GMA-7 Reporter. Yay!

Threat of Terrorism..likely
I read the news that United States is highly likely to face another attack similar to September 11 within the next 12 months, a London-based research organization said on Sunday.

The U.S is the first and always the brunt of acts of terrorist crimes..and one hopes that NO repeat of what happened during the 9/11...will occur. Especially since the anniversary is just few weeks from now.

Instead of making it better, it became worse!
Yikers.. The U-TURN slots that MMDA made along the stretch of Quezon Avenue is a good but it dosn't lessen the traffic. They must've been seething in anger of lost of income or revenue or however you'd call it. They own Glorietta and the Woods and others.

Coup Attempt!?!?!
Oh men, whats with the early morning blitz of coup d'etat here!?!? Geez, I woke up few hours ago to the voice of my mom telling me to turn on t.v cos there's a mutiny going on in Hotel here (in Makati, where Australian Ambassador and other expats/diplomats resides). It's only confined there. But why have rebellion? People who are aiming grievances really need to resort to different tactic. We'll have Presidential Elections next year soo..better just finish the term of Pres. Arroyo. Here in the Philippiness, if one doesn't like the Government, the quickest way is to have people power(with military backing) or as in this case a coup..which has always been attempted numerous times in the past. Hehehee..I haven't bought a copy of Time Magazine..but I will when my mom gives me money. MATRIX is just really really awesome cool hi tech visual effects movie. And then some of the other action movies kinda copied that famous kicking thing on the wall kinda action. Plus, I do like the star Keanu Reeves hehehe. FYI..in 1998 we were in Sydney when they were filming the movie and almost saw him face to face. Dang.. hehe. Anyhow, back then, no one would've known it'll be that big a movie..hehehe..

The love bug virus..3 years ago..3 years after
Ahhh..I didn't blog last Sunday so I didn't get to blah blah blog about the love bug virus article I read in Philippine Star. Anyway, In it, the report was that FBI still out to get 'virus man'. Gee, I remember that bug thing..3years ago and Philippines became umm sorta (in)famous cos of word of mouth and then news that it was guy from here who had made the virus which according to the news reports is his supposedly..thesis. I think somehow it made an impact and served as notice that the Philippines has really great IT, computer guys...however one would call it. Hehe but kinda for wrong sort of way. Ugh I remeMber I think yahoo went down..and a lot of sites too and amazon and others. Yay.. well like I said.. the guy is still here I think...hmm he must be really that brilliant to be able to have unleashed or made that " love bug virus" thesis of his. Worst Places for Journalist

Yahoo has news from CPJ about the worst places for journalist to be in and it says IRAQ is ranked first..uhmm yeah, I agree with that too..quite a few journalist(in the course of war) has died already..and while they're staying there and covering it..there's bound to a lot of unstableness still cos there's not really functioning government yet. There's also Afghanistan and Vietnam and Cuba..and others as well. I wonder if there has ever been a journalist(hurt or be in place of danger)covering news in places and other countries where war or regime isn't the cause for it to be deemed as worst place for them press people to be in. Oh well, just blogging thought.

Teehee..geesh, sometimes you really can't helpt it. Couple of journalists and soldiers wer're found to be the main culprit for missing or looted Artifacts and Museum stuff and money too. Yikers. At least 15 paintings, gold-plated firearms, ornamental knives, Iraqi government bonds and other items have been seized at airports in Washington, Boston and London in the last week, .I guess seeing those tons of money and very expensive Paintings and other Saddam Luxuries(yeah, while Iraqis are getting hungry), their eyes went bonkers.

Relief, liberation..and looting!
Hehehehe..yeah and it's understandable cos the Iraqi people has been oppressed under the Saddam's power but now...no more tyrant to do that..and war is over.. I think. Yey :^___^. One funny bit of scene.. even the plastic flowers (from inside ministry buildings) were looted...yeah imagine that! hehe. Well, one hopes that with this liberation of the Iraqis from the hands of the tyrant, there wouldn't anymore bombings going and that basic neccessities(food, water, medical help) be given to the people.. I'm gonna stop blogging about this war thingie thing..hehehe..gets tiring and boring now..hehe :)

Just my opinion
several journalist got killed(again) earlier in the day and well, it's the hazards of their profession. Being in the combat zone accidentally or not, one's bound to be caught in crossfire..in defence of the military...they're just doing what they have to protect themselves from the snipers..somewhere..and from the journalists side. The reporter from BBC(Rageh Omaar) said there weren't really any RPG or snipers in the(Palestine) hotel

I figured this..if all the the bombs and artillery shells that's been falling in Iraq right now are foods and the thanks are not the armored ones but water tanks..Iraqi civilians wouldn't be hungry and thirsty.

It's April fools day..Hahahaha.Maybe he thinks he's still in control..hehee well, it's not called April fools day for nothing..Teeeheee..

So the battle in liberating Iraq continues and the coverage of the war and watching it becomes kinda routinary(boring)at times. Me thinks they(coalition) should just use their superiority in the air and just bomb the Baghdad! Just my blogging opinion!

Okay, so too much war coverage on t.v and it's almost thesame as everyone else though different views but same news. I've decided not to watch constantly. Instead I'd read salam pax blogs. It's much better to get a real account of whats happening from this mysterious blogger from inside Iraq. But, is there really an internet in Iraq..ehh??? Anyhow, it's soo hot in here right now. Summer heat is oppressive. Wish it would snow or rain but then I don't like it when it rains too much cos streets here gets flooded most times. My head hurts. I think am gonna have my period today, I can feel it.

I'm watching t.v..again.yay, no surprise.. wanna see what's happening..uhmm, pixels and all. Browsing the web for no apparent reason..and here is what I've come across..an article/letter by two army reservist and their thoughts "As US soldiers, we recognize that our decision to fulfill our duty is a necessary sacrifice for the cause of federal republican....The most fundamental complaint is not that this war is happening, because despite unilateral economic motivations and searing blind aggression, Saddam is truly an abusive totalitarian dictator...." eh, read more?

Ack, It seems deadly flu here in Asia; the SARS disease, has sorta taken a backseat to the war news.. Haaa. Well since I'm Asian I thought I'd blog about that. And now I'm blogging off.

It's the leader, stupid!
I keep reading and hearing about protestors asking and bit puzzled as to how come Americans dropping bombs in Iraq instead of looking for the "weapons of mass destruction". Uhmm..hmmm well isn't Saddam Hussein a threat!?!? Ehh, me thinks he's the "WMD" they're hunting down in the desert! Hahahaa..damn! Go figure!.....if anyone has brains! haha

I'm watching t.v now and the firework missiles and bombardment of Iraq in the sky..eeek, I know I keep blogging about the war(cos it's whats going on) but it just so a(frighteningly) amazing to see something like that.

I've been watching CNN to see the latest news just like everyone else even though it's so redundant already. It's still the best out there when it comes to breaking news stories. Just observed this: They keep on saying their reporters (who're feeding news from different locations) "embed". hehehehe. It's more like, instead of saying strategically reporting in..blah blah they say "embed " in USS cook blah blah.

Haa, the war is on and no turning back now. I saw Saddam in one of the news thingie feeds and he was reading something and addressing his people.. ehhh..looks like U.S wasn't successful in eliminating him with the first wave of missile attack..Maybe they ought to do some more.

Soo..the possiblity of war is only few hours away...yikes! My tummy hurts too :(

48 hours till the war

Pres. Bush says Saddamn must leave the IRAQ destroy all weapons of mass destruction! or face the consequence of the might of U.S(sans key allies,French and Russia) and he's been given 2 days..oh my...war is on it's ways. But it's as if SADDAMN will leave his ruled country! I'll repeat it again..get it over with! so we can have peace! Actually, I heard the argument that they, the Iraqis, has been inspected a lot of times by the UN inspectors and that really the main reason U.S is pursuing war with IRAQ is to overthrow the tyrant leader and just install a new one. But the thing is, will there be a new leader or will IRAQ be under military jurisdiction of U.S?
Anybody hear the bells of PEACE? I do!

War and the news
Wow, I'm watching t.v right now and both BBC and CNN are running breaking news about different U.N Ambassadors speaking , making statements about what will hapen and what their postions on the impending war..which the deadline[set by Pres.Bush] today, 17 March. Christ!I'm a BonJovi Fan! Teeehee. I keep on singing the song These are the days(not even exactly sure if thats the title).It is a nice song.. and yeah John(or is it Jon?)BonJovi is like rock! Not an emo kinda rock but rock rock like oldie rock!. Nobody reads my blogs so..yeah..*sings..these are the days....* Actually it's the only line from the song that I know. But I like it! ^_^

War and crap
Ack, today's school day was so-so. Had a mass during the day in the school garden and not in chapel and it was hot. The homily of the priest was about impending war on Iraq and how one should really pray so that mighty Pres. Bush wont bang down the gavel of war on Iraq. Yeah, war is stupid! now it seems inevitable because of Saddumb! hehee. That a hole should be eliminated!.

About men and food
Oh man, I'm soooooooo full right now. I just came back from dinner in some resto in malate and I'm full to my stomach. Everytime I eat out it always makes me have that extra servings..one good thing though, I can burn a a lot calories (yay..I'm lazy..so hows that!?! hahaha) and I don't get fat no matter how much I eat. How tragic to see the news now

I just turned on the T.V right now and there's this breaking news about Space Shuttle Columbia breaking up in mid air killing all 7 crew members. That is shocking and sad. How everyone dreams of going into space aboard any space shuttle. To see it disintegrate and kill all those aboard is very sad. Kinda reminds one of what had happened to the Space Shuttle Challenger :(

Yey, my sister won in a raffle promo from shell gastation near our village. She won a brand new t.v.. a 14 inch colored t.v. Weee! Hahaha.. but hmm.. last x mas my mom won a t.v set at a christmas party and it's still here.. still in the box..yay..hehee.. and now another t.v.. too much information now available with t.v's galore.HEHE ^_^ but she'll bring the two brandnew sets in Baguio cos the house has only has one t.v set..but geez, 3 t.v's in a house that no one's even there (cos we're all here)hehe ^_^..

For the love of game!

Who said tennis is boring sport!?! I watched the Roddick and Younes match and it was such a really really wonderful one! I was screaming on top my lungs and I kept shouting "Go Roddiiiickkk, breakl serve." Must be nice to have been there and be part of the crowd. The game went to a fifth set. Because there's no tie, it went one and one and on and on.. it ended when Roddick broke serve and I was shouting so loud here! the score ended at 21-19 and too bad, only one has to win..the two players were sooooo really great to watch! Andy won of course! Hahahaa. Wahooo!

Love in time of war
I'm watching Pearl Harbor on Star Movie(cable channel). I dunno if it's a love story or a war story but I'm leaning towards the latter with the love stuff as subplot..maybe it's the other way around but in any case, watching it right now and the romantic scenes soo ..well, romantic..even if a bit too melodramatic cheeziness..and OMG, the scene right now is when Evelyn saw Rafe after learning the he's not dead... but like she's having an affair with danny, rafes bestfriend..yay!!! Geez, it dawned on him..omg. I'll blog later..teeeehee.

My mom and my sis aren't here...so what do I do? No surprise there, I'm facing the pc screen again and blogging this thing that you're reading!. Earlier in the day, I burned the phonelines too..so to speak..and I loved it ^_^. Im the type that can say a lot for about 15 minutes after that, it gets to be stale and boring cos I dont really have much to say. but not this time :)

Last day of the year and it's raining

Eve of Christmas
Just got back from church and it's sooooo hot in there. It felt like the whole of the village's community went to mass. We were sort of late so we just had to stand the whole of the mass. I was kinda people watching too..my sis told e there was this one girl who was wearing a tube and pants probably.. hello? tube inside the church service. Talk about fashion emergency! yay..tsk tsk.

Gee, Almost Christmas and I'm watching slamdunk! Heeeeheheheee Sakuragi and Rukawa's fighting..heheheee I think this is re re runs of the past episodes. I'm glad they showed it all over again. It's the only Anime that I really watch. It's sooooo damn funny..the tagalog dialogues real wacky!hehehe... Ack, it's Xmas time..lots of food here...l'll blog again later..commercials over.

I just got back from the mall about an hour ago. It's soooooo crowded with shoppers buying last minutes gifts for the coming Christmas. And hey,I have never seeen so many kids wearing those sorta rollerblades rubberr shoes..seems they're everywhere in the malls! Haaaaa.. I'm hungry! and well you can guess what I'm gonna eat but it's a dead give away.....HAM..again and again and again..ugh! ^_^

Hahaha the other day it was like boxes and boxes of hams..ugh.. but okay too. We're probably gonna eat it for breaky, lunch and dinner..yay. Read more? Today the ham still continues to arrive. Hahaha. My mom got another box of ham...as a gift :) and also got a new dvd player.
