CASA VERDE...Verdict

Last weekend 27 October to be exact, after our trick or treat at Rockwell Power Plant, we went  to UP Town Center and ate dinner at Casa Verde. Sis ordered Brian's Ribs, I ordered best sampler, my nephew, the Tavern shrimps, and my bro in law, the  tenderloin.  We didn't order the huge burger.. but maybe we should have. So my verdict. I wasn't thrilled with the food! The price and the serving is good though. For big groups, this is the place to dine if you're on budget. Our bill cost around 1200 for all the food that we ordered and that's cheap. The serving is huge too.  Thumbs up to that.

But wait... there's more. I didn't enjoy the food.:( Buffalo wings was just ok. the blue cheese didn't taste like blue cheese. which made it worse.  The ribs.. the serving was huge, and that's about it. My sis liked it though.  The tenderloin was alright too. Not my type. I only enjoyed the tavern shrimp my nephew ordered, the rest was like bland.  There's just something lacking. must be the taste of each dish,. Maybe we should have ordered their huge burger instead.  I wonder  if it's good.. hmm.  To each his own taste  I suppose. Rubs is still way better! :)

Brian's Ribs

Best Sampler

Tavern Shrimps I like
Will go back here to taste the huge burgers. 3 out of 5 for Casa Verde for the taste. 5 for their huge servings.

Happy Tummy LOLA CAFE

Lunch with Khrishka 2 weeks ago at Lola Cafe just walking distance where I live. We thought of Cercho (not sure how it's spelled) again it's near the house but it didn't feel right.. nobody was eating and we were sorta wearing house clothes :) so I mentioned Lola Cafe.. and I'm glad I did. we enjoyed the food and the homey feel of the restaurant. We'll comeback for second helpings. We didn't get to try Bottarga pasta aster all

GoodFella's

Not so good!  Ordered the four dishes below and my tastebud was protesting.

But maybe should have ordered their steak specialty instead
